The list of recruitment tests
Each item of this list is a test available to evaluate the candidates.
By default, you have some examples of test.
You can use the examples to learn how the
ToITL
application works.
For each new job, you should create a new test in this list.
And each candidate applying to the job, should make the test you create.
The button

When you want to evaluate a candidate, you choose a test in the list, and you
click on the button "Start".
Then the candidate should start to answer to the different questions until the end
of the test.

in the ToITL

How to simulate a candidate test
If you are not an expert in jQuery or SQL, you should select
the test "Default calculation test"
in order to try the application.
In this test, the exercises are very simple and only require basic calculation skills.
What are the steps of a recruitment test, what the candidate should
do after you click the button "Start".
The candidate will be on the computer and will go thru 3 main steps :
To try the application, run your first test, you can take the place of a candidate:
1. Choose a test in the list (ie: "Default Calculation test") .
2. Click on the button "Start" in the right side of the test you choose.
3. Make the test until the last exercise.
3. Logon again on the application to see the result in the panel "Your last candidate tests".
Prepare your first test session, create your own recruitment test.
1 . Click on the link "Add new random test".
2 . Fill the form to precise the type of test and the number of exercises, click button "Create".
3 . Change the title of the test, put the URL of the recruitment advertisement link to the test, click button "Add".
You have to take care of the URL you enter in step 3.
If the URL is invalid, or if we can not access
to this URL from internet, your "status job ad" will never be set to "OK".
In this case your test cannot be started.
You have to take into account the validation delay.
The URL validation process is made manually. You will receive an email when this process
has been done. The normal delay is 24 hours max. So if you plan a new recruitment test
session, take into account this delay and create the test as soon as your recruitment
advertisement is available online.
Requirements before start a test session.
You are with one or more candidates, and you want to test their skills.
For each candidate, follow this steps :

Compare candidates skills:
1. Click on candidate tests in the list.
2. The graph is updated using a different color for each test.
3. Add or remove other candidate in order to compare skills.
Communicate the result to other persons.
1 . Make the graph using previous help.
2 . Click on the link : "Get a permalink of this graph".
3 . Check your inbox emails, the link to this graph has been sent to you. You can now sent it to other persons
S: Successfulness, it is the percentage of exercises where the candidate found the solution.
If the candidate found the solutions to each exercise, the value is equal to 100.
If the candidate didn't find any solutions, the value is equal to 0.
R: Rapidity, In the set of exercises found, it is the evaluation of the time used by the candidate to found the solution.
If the candidate found the solution in 1 second, it is very good, the rapidity will be near the maximum value, 100.
If the candidate found the solution just before the time-out of the exercise, it is not very good, the rapidity will be near 0.
E: Efficiency, In the set of exercises found, it is the evaluation of the number of trials required to found the solution.
If the candidate found the solution with one trial, it is very good, the efficiency is set to the maximum value : 100.
If the candidate found the solution with many trials, it isn't very good, the efficiency is near 0.
C: Combativeness, for the exercises where the candidate didn't find the solution, it is the evaluation of the number of trials done before cancel or time-out.
If the candidate made an important number of trials to try to find the solution, it is good, the candidate really wants to find, so the combativeness is around 100.
If the candidate didn't try any solution and cancel the exercise or wait the time-out, it is not good, the combativeness is around 0.
P: Perseverance, for the exercises where the candidate didn't find the solution, it is the percentage of time-out.
If the candidate never canceled an exercise, and always try new solutions until the time-out, it is good, the perseverance is around 100.
If the candidate canceled the exercise, it is not good, the perseverance is around 0.
Pending test:
A pending test is a test that is still running or that is never ended.
When candidate runs a test, you can see this test in the pending list.
When a test is never completed, the test is available in the pending list.
A test can never be completed when :
1. the browser is closed during test.
2. the computer is turned off with a test running.
3. the connexion to the internet server is down.
The "Actions" column:
If the test is running you have a message like "Running, wait 5 minutes".
If the test didn't change during 5 minutes, the column has 2 actions buttons.
One action to restart the test, another to delete the test from the list.
The "Restart" action:
when you click on this action, the test re-starts from the last point recorded on the server.
The candidate should be ready to continu the test.
